PREPARATION FOR THE DAY:

We celebrate this day with great zeal every year. This year great preparations were made in the school. Each and every child was eager to take part in the Independence Day Celebration. Our Principal drew up a programme which was announced on the 13th of August.

 

PROGRAMME OF THE DAY:

Early in the morning of the 15th August, everyone gathered in the ground behind.  Our younger companions were full of great enthusiasm. They were shouting the slogans at the top of their voice.

In school, everyone stood around the flag pole. On our Principal’s request, the founder of the school, came forward to perform the flag-hoisting ceremony.  Everyone stood in attention to give a salute to the flag.

After the flag ceremony, Jan Gan Man was sung. The flag ceremony came to a close with a few speeches delivered by the staff and the manager. Al the speakers threw light on the importance of the day and our duties towards the country. They were held with great enthusiasm.
